The Keiser University Media and Public Relations Department is seeking a resultsoriented social media assistant director with a passion developing engaging social media messaging and brand outreach initiatives. The assistant director will play a role in the development, creation, and management of a social and digital media content strategy and contribute to the overall reputation of the university on social and digital media platforms by delivering key messages to policymakers, students, community stakeholders, potential students, members of the press, and the higher education community. The assistant director will work on numerous departmental initiatives related to brand management, public relations, government relations, student services, and media relations. Social media management, public relations, content creation, public engagement, and special event planning are critical functions of the Media and Public
Relations Department at Keiser University.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Develop and implement measurable social media strategies that increase social engagement with all University stakeholders including students, campus champions, lawmakers, and employers in support of Keiser University goals and initiatives.
-Assist in development of content and strategies for digital media channels including social media, blogs, websites, publications, and online platforms.
-Produce and curate original content for Keiser's digital media channels including but not limited to social media posts, written blogs and stories, video, photography, graphics, etc. Manage scheduling of social media posts and creation of content calendar for all Keiser University social media accounts.
-Supervise and guide campus social media managers in their efforts to develop, poduce, and curate original content for campus social media pages Align social media content with targeted audiences via hashtags and tagging of partner organizations.
-Track social media performance metrics to maximize results and report progress to management.
-Monitor and alert relevant team members of emerging threats to the Keiser brand and organize rapid response surrogates.
-Engage social media comments with prompt and accurate responses.
-Support team in crisis communications situations, working with the administration in an accurate and timely manner.
-Identify opportunities, trends, and innovations in digital/social media spaces to stay relevant and effective.
-Analyze Keiser University's position in the digital and social media spaces and implement best practices.
-Develop campus contacts and surrogates to assist in an organized content curation strategy.
-Assist in the implementation of public affairs campaigns with colleagues in development and fundraising, government relations, and student services.
-Monitor, analyze, and engage in conversations about the University across emerging and non-traditional digital platforms (e.g., forums and communitydriven sites), identifying sentiment, addressing misinformation, and escalating reputational risks as needed.
-Leverage insights from online discussion platforms to inform content strategy, proactively address recurring questions or concerns, and develop guidance for appropriate institutional engagement on these channels.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, digital media, broadcast communications, marketing, or advertising.
-Must have superior written and spoken English communication skills.
-3-5 years of experience producing social media content as part of brand management initiatives.
-3-5 years of experience managing social media platforms including content curation, scheduling, and responding to supporters and critics.
-Excellent communications skills with the ability to work with multiple team members in a fast-paced environment.
-Experience producing and re-purposing content for social media usage.
-Proven experience managing social media strategies.
