Is a global Company with operations in over 40 countries, concentrating on physical merchandising and primary agri-processing.
The Role. The E&S Manager will take responsibility of the effective management, implementation and monitoring of Environmental and Social requirements throughout business. The role is based in Costa Rica but will involve regular travel to our origins with more travel in the initial months to conduct a full assessment of our current operations.

Including:

- Monitor performance and identify E&S risks within the businesses.
- Carry out operational and due diligence audits of sites and working practices.
- Develop, communicate and monitor E&S policies and procedures with special focus on E&S targets achievement & progress.
- Lead annual E&S assessment in all company
- Submit management reports and recommendations for improvements and maintenance of effective E&S for external and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate on monthly/quarterly basis key improvement and learning opportunities across the business
- Keep up to date with E&S regulations and ensure policies remain relevant, legal and current.

Skills & Experience

- At least 5 years experience within either a similar industry (procurement, storage, process, project management, sustainability & environment management…) or within a Funding environment (banks, financial institutions, development banks).
- Previous experience of programme implementation, auditing and working/liaising with stakeholders (internal and external) preferably in a multi-site business.
- Previous exposure and understanding of challenges and constraints in developing countries.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English – both verbal and written.
- Advanced English and Spanish, French will be a plus.
- Ability to travel to emerging markets.
- Excellent team worker.
