Key areas of responsibility
Supervise all aspects of PWW’s project implementation in Trojes:
•Coordinate project planning with senior management: set priorities, determine scope and budget, and establish schedule for implementation
•Strategically analyze APPM’s methodology and make improvements where possible; facilitate field staff doing the same.
•Proactively ensure ample communication between Trojes, Tegucigalpa, and U.S. offices
•Network with local and national government agencies and international NGO’s.
•Oversee field staff’s work, such as informational meetings, training sessions, filter installation and check-ups, etc. Routinely accompany and assist staff in the field to better understand their work and how things are going.
•Identify weekly plans and necessary tasks with field staff.
•Track progress and facilitate staff’s reflecting on their work and finding ways to stay on track, amplify successes, and solve problems
•Track inventory and provide monthly reports to project management; request orders when needed
•Assist with hiring and training of field staff and volunteers.
•Organize and supervise office management tasks, such as maintenance of vehicles, etc .
•Provide frequent, constructive feedback to field staff. Be open to feedback as well.
•Ensure that field staff receive necessary training
•Keep accurate records, prepare and submit timely reports for senior management and donors.
•Assist as needed with grant applications
•Assist as needed to carry out donor visits
•Other duties as assigned

Preferred Characteristics, Skills, and Qualifications
• Experience in water and sanitation, project management and strong leadership skills
• Enthusiasm and dedication to guide APPM in continuous improvement
• Ability to thrive on challenges and ever changing environment
• Fluent in Spanish and English. Candidate needs to communicate in Spanish and English effortlessly. This includes written and oral communication
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Highly organized and able to work with deadlines
• Experience in training and empowering others. Preferred: experience in facilitation and participatory techniques
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-mail/internet
• Require completed university training in relevant field such as management, education, international development, health, or water and sanitation.
• Excellent vehicle and driving skills; ability to obtain motorcycle license

Reports to Honduras Country Director and USA Honduras Management
Consults with Trojes field staff and Honduras and USA management
Working conditions Trojes office is sparsely furnished but does have computers and a printer-scanner. Reasonably cheap and reliable internet is available using USB modems. Transportation is typically by motorcycle or pick-up truck, over very rough roads.
Field work 30-60%, may vary
Travel Occasional travel will likely be needed to Tegucigalpa for coordination, and to remote areas of Trojes, the Danlí area, or elsewhere, to oversee implementation.
